It's May and we have less than 3 weeks of school left. In an effort to continue positive behavior in my classroom, I implemented a V.I.P. table next to my desk. The set-up was super quick-I found a free label pack on TpT from Teach Talk Inspire. I printed out the two little labels and taped them to an extra desk. I gathered some supplies that I had in my room and put them in pen cups. I also printed out certificates from the free pack. I used colored paper for a little more fun!
Each afternoon after the kids leave, I select a V.I.P. for the following day. I place a certificate and a lollipop on the V.I.P. desk. The kids always zoom over to see who the day's V.I.P. will be! They know I only pick kids who have had great behavior that days prior. This is a great motivator!
If you sit at the V.I.P. desk, you get to use all the supplies shown all day {except during Writing Workshop when you must write your words with pencil}. The love the novelty of doing their morning work with a pen or smelly marker! Easy-Peasy!
