5 for Friday 1.15.16

Hey hey hey Friends!  I'm back for another 5 for Friday with Doodle Bugs Teaching.   It's gonna be a quick one bc it's been one doozie of a week!  Here we go!

I celebrated my birthday with my family last weekend!  My dad made me a cake and it was delicous!

Speaking of my birthday, which was almost 2 weeks ago, BTW, my teammate got me these awesome Frixion erasable pens.  I already had the markers but was super excited to get the pens!!!!

SNOW DAY!  We had our first snow day of the year on Tuesday!  It was glorious.  I watched a lot of tv.  And laid on the couch.

*Oh, and from #3-I did make a couple new goodies, which I AM SO EXCITED FOR!!  My new "Wander and Write" activities are super fun for review and to get kids up and moving!  The best part of it all is that they are differentiated.  There are 4 levels of ability included.  Just assign kids to colors and they "wander" the room solving the cards that are their colors.  Everyone has the same recording sheet, but they will be copied on different colors of paper.  So far I have addition and counting on. Look for more of these soon!  Click the covers to view these!

We wrapped up Magic e last week and moved onto vowel teams this week!  We began with ee/ea/y.  I love teaching these because once the kids learn them, they really start to grow in reading!  Despite our snow day and delay, we managed to practice quite a bit! The kids enjoyed playing the board game that I made {shown below}.  You can get it HERE, along with all kinds of other goodies for vowel teams!

Happy Weekend!
