5 for Friday 5.8.15

Hi!  We made it another week!  I first want to say THANK YOU to all who shopped from my store during the Teachers Pay Teachers Teacher Appreciation sale!  You are all awesome.  I hope you are pleased with what you got!  I know that I spent way too much during the sale!  And I may or may not have forgotten to enter the "thankyou" code at the checkout.  Seriously?  I blasted it everywhere on social media but yet I, myself, forgot to type it in.  Ridic.

Anyhoot, I had a fairly un-eventful week, but I did manage to snap some pictures so here we go! Thanks, Doodle Bugs Teaching, for hosting!

I shared these number grids with the little windows on my Instagram and people really liked them! These are the best invention ever!  We used them to practice 10 more, 10 less and they reallly helped secure the tricky skill with my students.  I allowed my kids to use them on their Math test, which they were thrilled about!  To check these out head over to Carson-Dellosa.

I feel like this time of year, I have to pull out all the bells and whistles!  We've been reviewing sight words with board races!  Always fun!

We are working our way through my Poetry Unit, and it's been a hit!  These are our SPRING acrostic poems.  So far, we've learned about 5 types of poetry.  I'll be doing a big poetry post when we get closer to finishing.  My poetry unit is perfect for the end of the year...it's a nice little break from narrative writing.

To check out my poetry unit, click the cover below.

I'm hosting a Stella and Dot online jewelry party.  If you haven't seen their stuff, you should totally check it out!  It is super cute and I can attest that it's great quality.  I have many pieces from them and they are sturdy and feel and look really nice.  I'm having a promotion.  We are having a raffle going on for every purchase made.  If you make a purchase, you'll receive an entry for a free pair of stud earrings. Their stud earrings are the cutest!!!!  To shop the sale, click HERE.

My bestie Jess from Mrs. Stanford's Class, just posted these free "STICK IT RUBRICS" last night and I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!  Genius.  Put the sticky notes on paper, print, and have kids self-assess. Click the picture to check them out!

Happy Weekend!
