5 for Friday

Happy Friday!  It's the Valentine's Day party...........................................................possibly the craziest day of the year.  I do believe it's even crazier than the day before Christmas break or the last day of school.  What is it about those silly little cards that get kids in a tizzy?!?!  I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for another Five for Friday!  Hope you had a great week!  Mine was kind of uneventful but I'll see if I can come up with 5!

Last weekend, I finished my first unit in my growing "Guided Reading Bundle."  I have been working on this for awhile and was so happy to finally get the first unit in and the bundle up for sale! In case you missed last weekend's blog post about it, you can read more HERE.  Today is the last day to get the free "Guided Reading Resources" pack with the bundle!  The bundle is also discounted. Once the units are added, the price will increase!  Buying now will get you the low price and all units added as completed by July, 2015 {or sooner}.  This pack is going to be a fantastic supplement to your Guided Reading time!  The feedback I've been receiving has been awesome!!!

Last weekend I also organized the closets.  We live in a Cape Cod house and the closets are for David the Gnome.  I currently use 3/4 closets plus 2/2 dressers in the house.  I went through my clothes and got rid of some things.  I also bought some great shoe racks for the bottom of 2 of my closets to help with the "shoes all over the house" {as my hubby would say} problem. This closet below is my summer closet!

I got together with my college bff and we had lunch and then did some shopping.  I only get to see her every now and then.  It's always a lot of fun and we pick up where we left off!  We hit up Nordstrom Rack.  It was only my second time there and I found a few goodies!  Obviously I need more clothes.  Below is an old picture of my buddy and I from 8 years ago!

We've been hitting the GO MATH hard and I am starting to like it a lot more.  My kids are really getting it!  I wondered b/c sometimes it's pretty dry.  It's hard to find time to supplement but I do try to squeeze some fun games and other activities in.  This week, we reviewed Math vocabulary with a Venn Diagram.  They did really well!

I'll leave you with a picture of my little Valentine niece!  I'm excited that I'll be seeing her Sunday and giving her Valentine surprises {with some for her mommy and daddy, too}!!

Happy Heart Day!

I must admit I clicked on your link because of the closet picture....I, too, have 3 closets of clothes. All season separated. I'm slighty OCD about it. Do you also hang yours by color? Now, about Go Math! When I taught third grade I was getting to a point of liking it better, but I still found parts to be lacking. I can say that my teacher friends that still teach it do not like it at all! Have a great weekend!

David the Gnome!!! Love it!! Still laughing... My eldest is moving out to Seattle this summer and the one. good. thing. about her going is that I get more closet space. What a novelty– I'll be able to close my wardrobe doors!! Your niece is a cutie! See you around! Kathleen Kidpeople Classroom
