Hi, I am a primary (K-1) librarian for the last 13 years. I see kiddos everyday, 30 minutes each class and 13 classes each day. I supplement the classroom teacher. I start all writing assessments, introduction, much of the overlap in testing, no to mention my library duties and hopefully creating a life long love of reading. ;)

I wanted to say I like the idea for your lesson planning. When teaching by subject, your not pressured to finish today or in an allotted amount of time.
I also, wanted to say that I think everyone feels the same way when collaborating within a grade group. I try to remind myself, it happens and maybe it will happen to me (not being caught up or where other classses are). Odds are with 13 classes back to back, do I give the same lesson to each class and do they all take the same thing away? I think we all question ourselves and each other from time to time. It helps us make good choices.

I love that you are questioning these things and I love that you are reaching out for input. I really think you are going to do great! I can't wait to see how your year pans out. Take care!
