We are writers. We are authors. We love writing! I really pride myself on running a smooth and tight Writing Workshop. This has not been easy. It's taken me about 7 years to perfect it to what I want it to be. Even still, finding time to "get it all in" is tricky. Conferencing and meeting the needs of all writers is the toughest parts in my opinion. But sometimes, you have to just plug along and know that you are doing your best!
Last week was our first Writing Party. We spent 2 days preparing for it. The prep included re-copying our writing onto new, different paper, creating a title and cover for our stories, and self-assessing our work. Our first writing party was set up like a gallery walk. Students walked around and looked at everyone's stories.
Then, I put them in groups and rotated them around every 3 minutes or so. They just love being able to look at one another's masterpieces! Our party ended with a treat! Success!

I have a class that loves to write, I just need to get netter with the editing process. Your packs look like something that would help.
