‘Twas the day before winter break and all through the school
Not a teacher was stressing, she was playing it cool
The stations were set up in the classroom with care
In hopes that the students would enjoy them there
The children were scattered all around the room
Some playing games, others making reindeer food
Activities were organized for all to enjoy
Including letters to Santa about being good girls and boys
Cookies being iced with green and red
Writing about how it’s done because the teacher said
Playing Christmas BINGO and hoping for a prize
Someone yells “BINGO” to everyone’s surprise
Writing notes of kindness to all of our friends
Hoping this fun day doesn’t come to an end
Fun to be had by one and by all
Now dash away children and don’t run in the hall!

Hello everyone! Over
the past few years I have had great reviews about my “Pilgrim Days” pack. It’s a pack intended to teach children about
life in the past and is perfect to use as whole-group instruction, centers, or
rotations those days leading up to fall break.
If you follow me on Instagram {@mrswheeler44}, you saw that I said I do my best
thinking in the car! I was doing a
little brainstorming and came up with a pack perfect for the day before winter
break. I am SUPER excited about
this! It’s full of fun and engaging
activities to help you get through that long day! The activities can be used in
lieu of a party. They would be perfect
as stations if you have parent volunteers. There are 7 activities/stations
included. I incorporated reading,
writing, and math into this pack so your students are still learning while
having fun!
In this 53-page pack, you will find:
- Letters to Santa writing templates {differentiated}
- Reindeer Food recipe and poem
- Reindeer ornament craft idea
- Christmas kindness notes templates {differentiated}
- Christmas BINGO {color and b/w}
- Cookie decorating parent letter and how-to writing {differentiated}
- Christmas Math game {10-frame war game}
- Sight word game
- Parent donation letter {editable}
- Parent volunteer sign up form {editable}
