Last Friday was our FFF {First Fun Friday!}!!! I was super excited about it because I got to use my new FF board, which was inspired by Teeny. No judging, Teeny {if you are reading this}. Your cabinets are nicely organized for FF. Mine are not!

This past week, I only had a few areas open, so the first time wasn't too chaotic! I had play-doh, pattern blocks, white board drawing, Legos, and computers. I decidedahead of time on the fly how many kids I wanted at each area. I used colored Popsicle sticks and put enough in the pockets of the stations that were going to be totaled. I needed a total of 21 because that's how many kids I have.
Verdict? Kids were obsessed, as expected. I love FF because it encourages social skills and teaches kids to work together and share. It also gives me 20 minutes at the end of the day on Fridays to get things organized for Monday.

I love fun Fridays too. It's a great time for me to see a different side of my children. It also gives me a lot of information about if they are a loner/leader etc. I give my kids 45 minutes at the end of every Friday for everything from ipads to art table, legos etc.
I think the "Fun Friday" experience is so important. I always hosted a Fun Friday when I had a classroom full of little ones. I think it gives them a chance to engage in all those activities that are so developmentally appropriate but that have been squeezed out of the day.
I offered, play-doh (that I made each Friday using a different color and oil essence for a nice smell), blocks, Legos, pipe cleaners or Wikki sticks, an art station, some kind of water play (this was always popular and messy), a music or dance station, and some kind of dress up, and at least one board game.
I started out small and introduced one new activity a week. It was so much fun- thanks for sharing.
