In My Opinion...

Hey everyone!  It's finally a sunny day in Ohio so I am pumped up to be going to the pool as soon as this post is finished!  I've been crazy getting ready for a garage sale, also!  It's time for a break!  

Today I am SO THRILLED to tell you that I've finally finished my Opinion Writing Pack!  It's been on my to-do list for awhile and I just finished it up this morning!  I know you're going to like it!  It meets the K-2 Common Core Text Type & Purposes Writing Standards which state: 

Kindergarten--Writing.K.1 Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose opinion pieces in which they tell a reader the topic or the name of the book they are writing about and state an opinion or preference about the topic or book (ex: My favorite book is...).

First Grade--Writing.1.1 Write opinion pieces in which they introduce the topic or name the book they are writing about, state an opinion, supply a reason for the opinion, and provide some sense of closure.

Second Grade--Writing.2.1 Write opinion pieces in which they introduce the topic or book they are writing about, state an opinion, supply reasons that support the opinion, use linking words (e.g., because, and, also) to connect opinion and reasons, and provide a concluding statement or section.
