Classroom Photos!

Hello! I went into my classroom last week for two days (and luckily my wonderful mom continued our tradition by coming to help and stay over!).  We got a TON done, per usual! I am so thankful for her help each year!  I am showing you some photos of my progress.  I typically don't put much up on the walls at the start of the year...I prefer to keep them blank for anchor charts that we create in class.  My wall space is VERY limited!

Hope you like what I've done so far!  I've enjoyed seeing everyone else's photos this summer!  I am including some before/after shots!

These labels are shown in my library.  Visit my TPT store for more color choices!
Everything boxed and piled up! I like to keep it super organized when packing in the spring!
Rows: yuck!
Blank canvas!
My word wall.  The cards shown are available for purchase here.  If you don't like the polka dots, I have black line  available here.
Phonics chunks board.  I have been teaching the Phonics Dance for  9 years.  It's great! The lady that created it lives about 25 minutes from me.  Click here to learn more about it.
A snippet of my classroom library.
Another snippet of the classroom library.  The first author we'll be reading books by is Kevin Henkes.  He's one of my favorites! I got to meet him and get some books autographed back in 2005.

Weekly goals board.  For our "I Can Statements!" Look out Common Core!
Weekly goals/objectives/common core "I Can" statements to go in the above pocket charts.  Click here to take a peek!
A random supply caddy with label.  Click here to get your own set of classroom labels.  These colors not for you ? I have a set in turquoise as well!  It looks great with CTP "Dots on Turquoise!"

A shot of my personal library.  I heart books!
I have my personal library sorted by seasons, subjects, and skills.
Writing workshop student supply area!  Want to get a workshop up and running in your room? Click here to check out my resource pack.  I keep a monthly sample of each child's writing. Click here to get my yearly writing portfolios!
A job for my 6 foot 6 hubby! Hang my alphabet! Click here to get the alphabet.
That's all for now, friends! I'm off to the p-o-o-l for some r & r.  I'll be back next week with more photos.  Ta ta!

Your room looks great! I was wondering what sequence you use with the phonics dance. I really want to order it but have read it is usually used as a supplement to a phonics program. Just wondering if it would make sense to use as presented in the materials...which I haven't had a chance to see.
