To introduce our study of homophones, I showed students the following photo:
They had to figure out what was the same. They did, those little smarties! Next, I read the book Dear Deer.

We continued our study of homophones with a homophone concentration game. We also read many books throughout the week.

Finally, as a review, we made a "pair of pears," inspired by First Grader at Last.
