Kwik Stix

I don't know about you, but the further along in my career I get, the less likely I am to do an art project that involves PAINT with my first graders.  Large class sizes + paint = a big mess and a big cleanup!  However, my students still love doing art projects, and they especially enjoy drawing during indoor recess time.  Hello, long and cold winters in Ohio!  One of their (and my) favorite drawing/art tools are Kwik Stix.  Kwik Stix are tempera paint sticks that allow kids to draw/paint without the mess.  Kwik Stix dry in 90 seconds and leave a paint-like finish.  Kwik Stix can be used on a variety of surfaces including paper, cardboard, wood and canvas.
