Hi, friends! I'm back today for a Sunday 6! This is a random compilation of six things from the past week. I'm including things from the last two weeks, as my post for last Sunday didn't make it up! #teachertired
I hope you all have a fantastic week!!
Several years ago, I purchased this BAGGU bags from Amazon. I have used them for my weekly grocery shopping ever since! They are so roomy and such great quality. I love taking them shopping with me! The clerks always comment on how great they are, too! Last week I went to Trader Joes and filled up a bag. Look how much the bag held! Click below to check out these bags for yourself. They have TONS of patterns and colors!!! Well worth the investment and they help the environment, too! *Amazon Affiliate Link*

I sent home my first Scholastic book order last week. I had several families order, which is so exciting! In addition, I posted about my "Scholastic Donation" again this year on Facebook. I had enough friends/family sponsor my class and every student will be getting one free, $1.00 book per month this year! So, even if their families can't afford or choose not to order from the book order, the children will still get a new book each month! You can read all about how I manage the sponsorship by clicking HERE and reading a blog post about it.
Mr. Wheeler and I went shopping two weeks ago and I found this AMAZING alphabet canvas for my office! I got it at a local boutique, but I found a similar one on Amazon that you can check out by clicking below. It would be cute in a farmhouse classroom or child's room! *Amazon Affiliate Link*
We had buses come from our district to talk to the kids about bus safety. We do this every year. The kids go sit on their regular buses and go through drills, etc. I like to tie it into learning in the classroom, so we assembled, colored, and read this mini book. Click the cover below to snag it! Great for back to school time.
Our Math program (Go Math) begins with addition within 10, so we have been playing some games and working on that skill. This popcorn activity is from my "Beginning Addition Pack," which you can check out below. It's a great little pack for the start of the year. I used the worksheet below as a quiz.
We also played "Race to Camp!" This is an addition board game that focuses on addition within 10. We have played it twice in the last two weeks and the kids really enjoy it. Click the cover below to check it out.
I started using voice levels in my classroom several years ago and it's been very effective. I use them with touch lights and set the expectation for voice levels all day long, throughout all of our learning activities. The voice level charts shown below are specific to our school's PBIS program, but due to interest, I created a set of voice levels for my TpT store. They are editable so you can create ones specific for you as well. The touch lights are linked below. *Amazon Affiliate Link* You can also check out the posters below. You'll be amazed at how calm your room is when the kids know the voice expectations and have a visual to remind them!
xo,
Megan
