Hi! Welcome to another Sunday 6! Last week was fairly uneventful! Enjoy and have a great Sunday!
We did not have school Monday due to President's Day and had a snow day Wednesday. We got dumped on with a few inches of snow overnight Tuesday. By Wednesday evening it was all gone and was 50 some degrees. The weather has been so strange this winter!!!! I hope we have a dry spring after all this precipitation!
As I teach new units for Wilson Fundations, I print, laminate, and cut the supplemental literacy centers that I've made to go with it. We are wrapping up Unit 9 this next week and will begin Unit 10. I have everything ready for Unit 10! If you teach Wilson Fundations Phonics, these activities are a MUST! They make great centers, RTI activities, or guided reading supplements. I have been using them with my kids all year and I know that they help contribute to their success in Reading! I have each unit available for individual purchase, but I have also bundled the units that I have so far. The growing bundle should be finished TODAY and the price will go UP!!! Snag it now!

Last week, my kids were able to choose yet another FREE book!! If you saw my post during the fall, I shared how I was able to get 1 free book for every child, every month. If you missed that post, click HERE to read it! This is something super easy that any educator can do! The kids absolutely love picking out a book to take home each month!!!
As I mentioned last week, I have been counting my macros for approximately 9 days now. I worked with Brooklyn from Teachers Gone Strong and she came up with a plan for me. The first few days were insanely hard...I felt like all I was doing was eating! It has gotten a little easier and I am finding ways to hit my macros each day. My ending goal is of course to lose some weight. It's also to remind me that I need to eat more. I work out almost every day and I have found from this that I was not eating enough. My body was burning up my muscle instead of fat. I can't wait to see my transformation in a few weeks!!
If you aren't familiar with macro counting, you can check out Brooklyn's website HERE. She is very knowledgeable and would be happy to answer your questions and set you up! Below is a snack that I made every day: Greek yogurt and chocolate protein powder.
Here's what I made for breakfast every morning last week: 1/2 banana, 2 boiled egg whites, 1 clementine, 1 piece Dave's Killer Bread with 1tbs. almond butter.
I updated my "Listening Center Report," which is a free download in my TpT shop. Click the cover to snag it! You can read more about how I use the listening center in my classroom by clicking HERE.
Disclosure: I received my subscription in exchange for marketing. However, all opinions about the Kindergarten crate are my own.

I received my third "Kindergarten Crate" box yesterday!! My box is technically a First Grade box, but the company's name is "Kindergarten Crate." If you have seen my previous Sunday 6 posts, I'm sure you have seen me post about this!!
Not familiar with Kindergarten Crate? It is a monthly subscription box created for teachers! With your subscription, you'll receive a themed box each month. Inside the box you will get: a grade-specific read aloud book, a student activity, classroom supplies, and a teacher gift (woo hoo!). KC can be purchased one time, in a 6 month subscription, or in a 12 month subscription. The gals at KC recently added a pre-kinder box and a 1st grade box. When I saw they had a 1st grade box, I knew I had to have a subscription!! Our days are full of box curriculum and the Kindergarten Crate will provide more fun for us.
The Kindergarten Crate is shipped on the third week of each month. The box you get is intended to be used the following month. For example, I received my March box yesterday. The theme for this box is "Reading." The book looks amazing and I am loving the goodies inside the box.
Disclosure: I received my subscription in exchange for marketing. However, all opinions about the Kindergarten crate are my own.
