5 for Friday 7.29.16

Happy Friday, friends!  I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for another Five for Friday!

I saw this meme and had to crack up...our basement is getting out of control with my "school hoard pile."  It's grown about double the size since I took this photo last week......#whoops  Luckily, I'll be transporting all the stuff to school next week when I go in to set up my room.

Last week, I made some "First Day of School" certificates for my incoming first graders.  They are editable so you can add names.  I have a black and white option included in case color ink is not available to you.  I have both kindergarten and first grade certificates available.  Click below to snag them!

I also created a fun, new Spelling practice pack, "Spelling on the Fly."  This is similar to my "Math Games on the Fly," which is compiled of mostly printable pages to be used "on the fly!"  These pages can be used with any Spelling or sight word list.  They will come in handy each Friday as review before our test.  Check this ditty out below by clicking the cover!

My older brother came to town last Sunday to celebrate his birthday!  We had a brother-sister day of laughing, shopping, and eating Mexican food!  So much fun.  My brother is the best!!!

Mr. Wheeler and I went for a date night out last weekend.  We went shopping, out to dinner, and to a new gaming center {similar to Dave and Buster's}.  We played a few games like Hot Shots and Ski Ball and then........We started playing one of those "push the coin" games and got OBSESSED!  We seriously sat there all night.  And spent way too much.  But look how much we won {which really isn't anything other than credits for little junky toys in the ticket-exchange shop}!  Hahaha!  So fun.

Have a great weekend!  I hope you will celebrate my blog birthday with me starting TODAY!  Lots of fun prizes!!!!!!

I saw that meme and thought the same thing. I am changing schools for the third year in a row and my front porch is filled with boxes and bins on top of all the things that I am buying for the school year. I start my orientation on Monday and my first question is when I can see my classroom and begin moving in!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Megan,
I love your meme at the top of this post with the truck packed full. This is exactly how I feel each fall when I go back to school and I'm glad I'm not the only one. I don't go back till September but already thinking about it.

Yes, there's something mesmerizing about those coin-pushing games, isn't there?! Totally addicting. Our local Dave & Busters closed, so I'm safe for a while . . .

I have a spare room that looks like your basement! My boyfriend is going to be so happy when I pack up my car and take this stuff to school next week.
