Hump Day Highlight

Hi everyone!  I'm back again for another "Hump Day Highlight," hosted by my blogging BFF, Mrs. Stanford!  In case you missed last week's post, you can check it out HERE.  This week I am excited to highlight my new fluency strips products.  Thee strips are a fun and simple way to practice sight words, cvc words, word families, and cvce words.  Each fluency strip has 5 words for students to decode.  After students read the list, they color or put an "X" on the picture at the bottom of the strip. These are wonderful for guided reading, RTI, parent volunteers, tutors, centers, or even to send home with kids for extra practice.  I have created three packs so far and plan to work on a couple more.  I recommend laminating the strips and using a vis-a-vis marker with them, as they erase easily with a wet tissue or baby wipe.

Details about the cvc pack:  This set of cvc word fluency strips is a great way for students to practice reading cvc words in a snap. Just select the strips you'd like your students to work on. Print, laminate, and cut. Students will practice reading the strips 3x each. After each read, they will color or put an 'x' on the apple at the bottom.

Each vowel has mixed strips as well as cards with the following separate word families: at, ap, an, et, en, eg, ig, ip, it, og, op, ot, ug, and un.

Strips are color-coded for quick and easy differentiation. This set was created for 1st and 2nd grade, but would make a great RTI tool for struggling 3rd graders.

Details about the sight word pack:  Sight word mastery/fluency is essential for beginning readers. Knowing words quickly will help students grow as readers.

Just select the strips you'd like your students to work on. Print, laminate, and cut. Students will practice reading the strips 3x each.
