Hi everyone! Today we had yet another snow day in Ohio...so we've burned 2 within the past week. We only get 5, so I am getting nervous. I LOVE my pool days in the summer, so I am sweatin' that we are going to burn through all 5 days and then some. Dang Mother Nature! Anyhow, I took FULL advantage of today. I did some last minute wrapping, went grocery shopping, got my haircut, and baked my favorite Christmas cookies-gingerbread men!
I also made some time today to finish up my "Fry's Second 100 Sight Word STAMP-ede." I can hardly believe my kids are almost ready to start learning their second grade sight words! We definitely practice often in class, so I should not be surprised. The sight word stamping center is a favorite of my kids' {well and for me, simply because it's the most minimal prep center ever!}. They especially love it since I've gotten new, more kid-friendly stamps from Lakeshore Learning. I love the letter stamps and giant ink pads. They were a bit pricey but it was worth it! The sight word stampede pages come with a sentence writing page for the back in case your little ones finish up quickly. I copy a class set of each page and keep them in a stack with my center activities so I can quickly put one in the literacy tub each week. I hope you will take a look at these! Enjoy your evening!

So cute and so creative! I love the "Stamp-ede" play on words. Hope you don't have to give up any of those delightful beach days! Keep warm.

I haven't yet broken out the stamps in my room yet! My kids took a while to get going on literacy stations. I have quite a few behavior issues. I am hoping to pull these out when they get back from winter break!!

Great idea! I'm adding it to my wish list! I am looking for other word work ideas for my centers.
