Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone and Happy Thanksgiving {for a little while longer!}.  Hope you had an enjoyable day full of family, friends, and food!  We traveled about an hour and a half north to see my parents and brother and sister in law.  On Tuesday night, we went to see Mannheim Steamroller.  They were awesome!  We always listened to them in our house growing up.  It was so much fun to see them in person with my family.

Today we celebrated at my brother and sister in law's house.  My sister in law is Kim from Carried Away in K.  She cooked a full turkey and all the trimmings!  It was delicious.  My family and I have a lot to be thankful for today.  My father-in-law's cancer is under control and we are so thankful for health today. I have a job that I love.  My husband is helping families around the world become financially sound and is enjoying every minute of it.  My sis-in-law is expecting!  I just became an Aunt on my husband's side, as well!  As you can see, lots of great happenings!

Below are some photos of our day.

Appetizers...
Just getting started...filled up on these and still feel disgusting.
Perhaps this is why?
We loved the table with the hats and bonnets!!! LOL!

I can not belive that I am still up!  Before I hit the hay, I wanted to let you know that I am having a Black Friday sale tomorrow, November 29th.  My store will be 20% off all day!  Below are a few things you may like for your classroom.

"Sweet Holiday Centers" are a big hit with my first graders!  This 122 page pack is loaded with engaging activities to keep your students excited about learning in December!  Some of my favorite games from the pack are shown below!

Sweet Sight Words-Students will each use a mat and share a pile of cards.  They will select a card and build the word on their mats with letter tiles [or letter beans if you do not have tiles].  This is a great kinesthetic activity to help with sight word fluency!

I store my letter tiles in this nail box.
Stocking Number Patterns-I am also loving this number pattern matching activity and recording sheet! Students have to figure out the number pattern and match it to the numbers.  Then, they complete the recording sheet.

"Writing Workshop Bundle" will be a STEAL!!!  This is a year's worth of Writing Workshop Curriculum that can be easily implemented in any 1-2 classroom!  It was created with the Common Core Standards in mind and covers all CCSS Writing Standards.  This is my guide for the entire year.  My kids and I just love writing time!

It's almost time for long vowels in my first grade classroom!  We love learning about them with my "Now Presenting: Magic e" activity pack!  It presents this tricky concept in a way that kids can understand it!  It's loaded with games that will get your students moving and excited about that sneaky e!

Finally, my "Long Vowel and Vowel Team Mega-Pack" will make an appearance soon!  It covers long vowels and vowel teams and is a sure hit amoungst little ones!  Songs, games, and printables will have your kids knowing their vowel teams in a jiffy!

Happy Shopping!
