Under the Big Top!

The circus is coming! The circus is coming! To my 1st grade classroom that is!  This year, I've decided to "theme" my room a bit with circus paraphernalia.  Shhh!!!

I'm usually not big on "themes," but I've always been obsessed with the magic of the circus!  I knew my colors would lend themselves nicely to this theme so off I went...spending money that is!  EEKK!  I started working in my room on Monday and haven't been back since.  I will post pictures of the finished product next week!  In honor of my circus madness, I created this fun pack!  It covers a lot of basic skills such as:

-Sentence order
-ABC Order
-Rhyming
-Nouns
-Beginning sounds
-Sentences vs. fragments
-Addition
-Graphing
-Non-standard measurement
-Skip counting
-Time to the hour

I am seriously LOVING this pack!  I am going to use some of it at the beginning of the year for our 'first centers.'  The beauty of this is that it can be used throughout the year at any time.  This pack was created for my 1st graders but would be great for enrichment in kindergarten or RTI in second grade.  Hope you'll take a peek.  It's on sale until I go to bed tonight! Click the cover to take a closer look.

So cute! I love having a theme (I had "busy bees for over ten years and just switched last year to wise owls!) but it can make me want to buy everything I see that matches it lol. :) It's definitely fun to create things for a theme! You have clearly put a lot of work into this. It looks great for beginning first!

Wow I would love to see your themed class. This is my first year teaching first after spending 8 years teaching 4th.
