Thank you for considering my “Writing Workshop: Personal Narratives” pack. It is highly recommended that you also purchase my “Writing Workshop Startup Kit.” as well. Pieces included in that pack will be referred to often in these lesson plans. This set will give you suggestions for 28 days worth of mini-lessons (2 days per mini-lesson). The lesson plans are broken up into a few parts: Materials, Making a Connection, Direct Teaching/Student Engagement, Independent Writing Time/Conferring, and Sharing/Assessment.
This set gives you about a month’s worth of mini-lessons. This unit is all about getting your students excited about writing!!!

Hi!!
I am thinking about making my life a bit easier and buying your writing mini units and start up. Do you go by Lucy Calkins? Is it aligned with the Common Core? I have been trying to do it myself, do to all the changes going on at my school. It has been a ton of work for me. (We don't get much guidance, so it's up to each teacher to do things on their own.)
Let me know if you think it will be a good purchase for me.
