TGIF! I'm back linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for another 5 for Friday! It's been a hectic week around these parts! Early release, end of quarter 1, waiver day, testing, etc, etc, etc! Hope you all have a great weekend!
Last Saturday I drove to Cleveland to see GARTH BROOKS!!!!!!!!! My friend from college invited me. It was such a great time! He is fantastic in concert. No surprise there! It took me right back to the 90's and high school. Knowing every word to every song was super fun!
While I was there, I visited one of my dearest blogging besties, Mrs. Stanford {Jess}. We met online {sounds bizarre} and have been friends for about 4 years now. We've met IRL 3 times but we text daily! I got to meet her little lady and she is the cutiest and sweetest! We went to a great burger place for lunch and then did some shopping. It was a great weekend!
On the way back from the concert, I HAD to stop at Lakeshore Learning. I can't go through/to Columbus without going there. I tried not to. I really did. But I ended up talking myself into going. I feared regret! Hahaha! I ended up with a few things: new ink pad for my sight word stamping centers, dishwasher safe baskets {because I had no particular use for them but knew I needed them}, and fishing poles for a project I'll be sharing with you soon! Curse you, Lakeshore! You get me every time!
This Monday, October 19, at 7pm ET, I am having an online Stella and Dot AND TpT giveaway sale! To join, you'll want to click this Facebook link and click "going" at the top. Starting at 7:00, there will be fun contests and prizes! Both jewelry and TpT products will be up for grabs! Don't miss out! RSVP today and get ready to shop and party!!
This week we learned about Christopher Columbus. We began with a K_W_L chart and a Brain Pop Jr. As the week went on, we read books and learned all kinds of neat information about who Columbus was. We made our own mini-books, played "SINK," did some writing, and made a craft. Everything shown below except the craft is found in my Columbus Day pack. The craft can be found HERE. Fun, fun!
We also started "Sentence Edits!" My kids and I both love these! They are a quick and easy way to practice sentence editing. We do one together on the board each day and then the kids copy it at their seats and add a picture. I have these in my store for every month of the year as well as in a bundle to save you some money!
