Specials Schedule

Something I make each fall when my principal sends out the master schedule is a "Specials Schedule."  I type up my specials schedule with graphics and do several things with it:
  • Place a copy in my kids' take home binders/folders
  • Laminate a copy and hang it next to my desk
  • Laminate a copy and hang it next to the classroom door

Another option is to print a small size, laminate it, punch a hole on it, and hang on a lanyard!

Keeping the schedule posted is mostly for me, as I don't always have my specials at the same time every day.  And even if I did, I'm sure I would show up at Gym on Music day or vice-versa!  Teachers have a lot going on in our brains!  However, it helps the kids, too.

I include the graphics so my students can see what special we have each day.  Placing a copy in the kids' take home binders/folders is super helpful for parents, particularly when it comes to Gym.

This schedule is editable!  Meaning you can add your own specials to the boxes and use a font of your choosing.  The "days" section is also editable for those who use letters as their specials rotation.

There are six options for you to choose from.  Color and black and white are included, as well. Check it out below by clicking the cover page!

Call it overkill, but I also display my "Today We Have ______ Board."   This is hung on my whiteboard front and center near where I post the date, my Voice Level Posters, helper of the day, and all the other important things.  Having a display of the schedule up in the classroom prevents the kids from coming in and asking "Do we have ____ today?"  They manage it themselves and look at the "Today We Have ___ Board."

This product includes two poster choices: "Where are we?" and "Today we have."  There are also plenty of cards included for you to choose from.  To prep this product, place Velcro on the board of your choice and opposing Velcro on the subject/specials cards.  Change the board as needed.  I use this board for specials; however, you can choose to use it outside your classroom door to let others know where you are.  Print two sets to use both options!
