Five for Friday February 8

TGIF!  This week FLEW by for me!  I feel like the entire year is on auto-pilot and will never slow down....but then again the thought of the beach and pool make me enjoy that feeling!  Which leads me to my #1 Five for Friday!

1.  Spring break is only 7 weeks away!!!  I can HARDLY WAIT!!!!!!!!! I am a beach and pool girl!  My entire summer is spent at the pool!  Addict.

2.  We've been working hard on our "How-to" writing in class.  Click the picture above to check out my top-selling pack!  It's such a fun unit and even my most struggling writers do phenomenal!

3.  I hit a squirrel on my way to the gym on Wednesday.  I feel so bad for the little guy...he limped away, but I am not sure if he survived...waaahhhh.  Speaking of squirrels, do you know my friend, Miss Squirrels?  Her blog is great!  She is hilarious!

"That damn Mrs. Wheeler drilled my cousin with her car!"
4.  My first graders have been doing great with responding to literature.  This week, we read Hansel and Gretel and did some response activities from my "Candy-Themed Literacy Pack."  I loved their alternate endings to the story!!  They were so cute and funny!   Click the cover page below to check my 'sweet' pack out!

5.  Bad news bears: Orange Leaf moved in less than a mile from my house.  Everyone knows that I am a yogurt fanatic!  Let's just say that I've been there 3x in one week............................

How was your week?!

  4. Megan,
You look fabulous in that picture by the water. Where was that taken? I only ask because it is 29 degrees here in Ohio and I am freezing! I wish I could jump into that picture!
It is so nice to meet a fellow first grade teacher with such a colorful blog! You and I have similar tastes with bright, fun colors! Happy to be your newest follower!
