Geometry Part 2

As you saw the other night, my students have been learning about shapes and geometry!  I posted this anchor chart picture last week.


Today, we began studying the rules of polygons.  We talked about the rules of polygons:

A shape that has three or more straight edges.
The edges meet their corners...no gaps!


We made polygons using straws (thin) and twist-ties. 

Trapezoid!

Rectangle!

Square!

Triangle!
Tomorrow, we'll learn about 3-D shapes!  Look for a post about them in the next day or two!
