Compound Eggs?

We studied compound words a few weeks ago.  This week, we are testing our students' reading levels (won't have reading groups) and will be doing lots of review activities during our typical reading group time.  Here is one activity we'll be doing that uses plastic eggs.  To prepare these, just get a list of compound words and write each word on an egg half with a Sharpie marker or paint pen (you can even use labels with the words).  You must put either clear nail polish or a piece of scotch tape over the marker, or it will rub off! Been there, done that! I do have a recording page, but I did not make it so I don't want to post it and take someone else's credit! Enjoy and happy spring!  I'm sorry for the terrible photo quality!

I may have them put the egg together and create a dozen eggs in a carton and then record their words...hmmm...now you've got me thinking! Thanks again!!!
