100 Day/Estimating

My student teacher whipped up this simple 100 day activity (we were short on time due to 10,000 snow days the week of the 100 day).  First, she set up a little "voting booth." She filled three baggies with different amounts of M & M's.  *One baggie had 100.  Students wrote their guesses on the tiny slips of paper and placed them in each cup.  She went through them, and found the guesses closest to each correct amount.  And what do you think the winners of each got??? The bags, of course!!

  1. Great idea! Except my weakness is M&Ms so I might eat them all before they make it to the voting booth! I could do Skittles! Thanks for sharing the idea!
