Hi everyone!! It's once again time for our "Bright Ideas" linky party!! Today's post is about student engagement! As the year winds down, it's always tricky to keep kids engaged in things that are so routine and sometimes mundane...
I like to spice up our morning work time. I give the kids about 5-7 minutes to attempt the work on their own. Then, I choose a "teacher" to come up and read each question. The kids yell out the answers or the "teacher" draws name sticks. He/She then writes the answers on the board, while the kids double-check their work with the board. What kid doesn't love to write on the big white board with a dry erase marker?!

Brilliant idea to use dry erase board as "screen"!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that idea! It's also wonderful that you can take a step back and watch them in action to see which kiddos get it and which need more help. :)
