Valentine's Day Recap

Hi everyone!  I hope you are staying safe and warm inside.  I feel for those of you that have been dealing with the winter storm.  I know many of you have missed a lot of work this past week, and maybe even missed your Valentine's Day party.  Mother Nature apparently doesn't care when Hallmark holidays are!

Below is a recap from our party!  We had a great week...we crammed a lot of fun Valentine activities in {and even tried to start a little President's Day, too}.  I'm just going to show you pictures of our week b/c there are a LOT of photos!  All products are hyper-linked in case you want to check them out.

Literacy and Math Centers were a lot of fun!

We made a bee craft from Mrs. Cupcake {Teri} and also made bear bags from Mrs. Plant's Press {Vicki}. Let's just say we got a little carried away with the liquid glue and had to lay our bags flat to dry!  For a long time.  *I got the white bags in packs of 13 from Michael's Arts and Crafts.

We reviewed place value & counting blocks from First Grade a la Carte {Kathy}.

We took our pictures with the mustache stick that I found last year!  This will be our February scrapbook page.  The kids get so excited about the scrapbooks each month!

Some of us practiced our fluency with A Teeny Tiny Teacher's "Happy Valentine's Day" play!  Love her plays!

We read The Day it Rained Hearts and did some activities from Teaching in High Heels {Gladys}.

We played Valentine's Day BINGO from Jason's Online Classroom.

Tuesday, we'll be doing my free sight word activity using these little heart boxes from Dollar Tree.  You can grab that freebie here.

We did lots of our sentence edits from my February Daily Sentence Editing pack.

On Friday, it was time to parrrrtaaaayy!!  I wore my Valentine outfit:

The kids loved their water/drink mix treats!  Click here to grab the editable cards for free!

It was quite the spread I'd say!

And now for some personal pictures!  Hubby and I had a fun Valentine dinner on Thursday night.  I got the pasta at Home Goods.

On Friday, my hubby had a scavenger hunt set up for me!  It was a lot of fun!  I got my favorite chocolates, ice-cream, and a new Alex and Ani bracelet for my collection!  He's the best!

I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!
