Hi everyone! Hope your week was great! I am pooped! Below I have some pictures from our first Math tubs. The ran extremely smooth and I am so happy about it! If you missed last week's Math tub post, be sure to click here to read it. There are lots of links to both free and paid items.
Today I am doing a color run and wanted to get my post up in case you wanted to prep any of these items for the upcoming week!
Thank you so much for all of your feedback last week! I am going to answer a few questions that you had below.
How long is your Math lesson? My Math lesson is typically 15 minutes or so. It is sometimes a little longer if we are doing a paper to go with it.
How long are Math tubs? My Math tubs are also around 15 minutes long.
How do you organize all your Math tub materials? I keep any themed activities in my seasonal file boxes, which you can read more about here. I keep general games {non-themed} in my file cabinet drawer in labeled hanging file folders.
How do you assess students in Math? During tubs, I walk around with a clipboard and checklist. I mark on the checklist. Also, I use my Math Quick Checks {shown below} throughout the week.
So...onto the upcoming week's activities!! We've been working on comparing numbers and number order lately so three of the tubs are those types of activities. We also have been reviewing number words.
The spin game is something that my teammate whipped up, so I don't have that to offer. The other activities can be found below!
Face Off {Mathwire.com} is great and it includes 2 differentiated boards!
Let's Compare! Which is More? {Jessica Travis}
Burger Bash: Number/Number Word Match {Mrs. Wheeler's Back to School BBQ}
Have a great weekend!

Love seeing your math tub activities! We just began our math workshop this week and the students love it! After our first rotations one of my little boys hollered out, "I LOVE MATH!!" Thanks for sharing the face-off activity! I'm including that one next week!
