I love using my Writing Workshop Units throughout the year but I also like to supplement with some fun holiday writing!
For Halloween, I always like to have my students write about their costumes. I use the templates from my Halloween writing pack that I created. Also included in this set is a suggested book list, an adjective review with costumes, and "How to Carve a Pumpkin" writing. So much fun!
This little ditty meets the Common Core Standards for Writing {Research to Build and Present Knowledge-W 1.7}. It also has two choices for differentiation included. I have recently updated it, so be sure to re-download if you purchased it last year!!

I love all those mini-size everything: Twix, Dark Milky Way...about the only things I draw the line at are those disgusting Peanut Butter Blossoms. (Do they even make them any more?)
