Have I mentioned how much I love teaching writing?! It's pretty much awesome. I've used my How-to and All About pack for many years and it's great! This year, I wanted to introduce more to my kids and what better way to do that than with animals?! Ocean animals? Check. Zoo animals? Check. Farm animals? Check. Arctic animals? Check.
We visited a dairy farm two weeks ago, so we began with cows and in case you missed it, you can read about it here. These writing packs are so much fun for the end of the year and go nicely with your themes! Each pack includes the same format with different animals, so your students can choose which animal they'd like to write about.
This past week students got to choose a different farm animal to research! I made groups of four for each animal. Check out our pictures below.
Click on each cover to see all the components and animals included. Get all 4 and save money with the bundle!

I just did a unit like this with my students two weeks ago. They loved the fact that they got to "choose" their own animal to research. I have never seen mine more engaged! I included a link to mine too. I had them do a small booklet that asked them to find certain information!

After our conversation over my Instagram pic tonight I realized that I wasn't a follower of your blog and thought I needed to rectify that situation speedy quick! Now that I've explored a little, I'm equally as star struck that you follow me on Instagram! :)

I LOVE this!! I don't know how I didn't see this post sooner! I really like the idea of having the kids draw sticks and all write about different animals! I would love to try this!
