Geometry Fun!

We started our study of geometry last week and did lots of fun things!

We reviewed our 2-D shapes with a Harry Kindergarten {love him!} video.

We made anchor charts and learned about the rules of polygons.  I also pulled out my good ole' shape vocab cards from Mrs. Patton.  I seriously love these.

We read The Greedy Triangle and made "Shape Monsters" from Primary Graffiti!  The kids LOOOVED them!  I created a little writing paper to go along with them to extend the craft.  Click below for the writing freebie.

We listened to some great music from Ron Brown of Intellitunes! You should really check him out.  We like "Shape Train," "Geometric Shapes," "Triangle", "Square," Rectangles,"and "Sorting." My kids and I are loving the music!  So catchy!

Stay tuned for my next post on 3D shapes!
