5 for Friday 2.17.17

Happy Friday!  You made it through another week at work!  I'm still over here at home, bored out of my mind....but making progress with my shoulder surgery recovery.  I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for another "Five for Friday."  Most of these have been boring lately, since I haven't been at school.  I wish I could share school happenings with you, but I obviously don't have any!  Soon, hopefully...

On Monday, I cooked dinner for us.  I made these ham/cheese crescent roll-ups.  They were really good!  There really isn't a "recipe," because it was some little video I saw on Facebook, but basically what you do is separate your crescent rolls into 4 pieces.  Spread some dijon mustard on them.  Add Swiss cheese and deli ham.  Roll up.  Cut each piece into fourths.  Put in greased glass baking dish {square}.  Melt some butter {a few tablespoons} and add some parsley.  Pour onto the rolls.  Sprinkle poppy seeds on.  Bake 350 for 20-25 minutes.  Let cool and enjoy!  I served these with a salad but they would make a great party dish/appetizer in case you don't want to have them as a meal.

I received my Ebates quarterly check this past week.  If you aren't familiar, Ebates is a website/app that hosts hundreds of retailers on it.  You shop through the Ebates app {or on your computer} and earn % back each time you make a purchase.  Literally every store I can think of is on there and they all offer varying amounts of cash back.  You recieve a check in the mail each quarter with your %/$ back!  This is legit and it's awesome.  I have been using Ebates for about a year and a half now and have earned back close to $400!  I use it EVERY time I shop for something online.  If you sign up HERE { it's free}, you get a $10 bonus once you redeem your first rebate {AKA the first time you shop using the Ebates app}.  You will be hooked and never want to shop in-store again!  *But if you do, there are a few stores that offer in-store options!  My husband just got some new shoes at Johnston and Murphy in-store and we got $ back!  For this option, you just link your credit card to the Ebates app before making a purchase.

On Tuesday, Mr. Wheeler took me to lunch for Valentine's Day.  It was really only the third time I've been "out" since I had surgery 5 weeks ago.  It was great to get out, but my arm/shoulder was feeling it and I was EXHAUSTED by the end of the day!  Luckily, he surprised me with my favorite chocolates when we got home!

Speaking of Valentine's Day, if you need a quick and simple literacy center for next week, you can grab this "Valentine Parts of Speech Sort!"  I sent it to my teammates last week and one of them sent me a photo back.  Her kids loved it!  Click the pic below to grab it!

During PT this week, my therapist had me try the lat pull down!!!!!!  She had to hand it to me, but I pulled it down and did the exercise on my own!  It's good to see progress, because I have had several set-backs throughout my therapy journey so far.  I am getting better and am excited!

And speaking of therapy--it's close to a Target, so I usually stop there after therapy.  I finally found the hamburger set!  And it was 50% off, making it just $1.50.  This will be perfect for procedural/how-to writing!!!  *Check out my best-selling pack for that below!

I also found Easter egg mini-erasers, because who doesn't need them?!

And some flash cards for Math that were half-off and just 50 cents!

Have a great weekend!
